About me
I am Ali Salamatian, recently graduated from Computer Science Honours at the University of British Columbia. I’m excited to join UT Austin for PhD in the fall.
Previously, I worked on these projects: efficient video patch selection (supervised by Prof. Leonid Sigal and Prof. Evan Shelhamer), enhancing vision-language-action models with MCTS (supervised by Prof. Cyrus Neary), and ChartGaze, aligning LVLMs’ attention with human gaze (supervised by Prof. Giuseppe Carenini and Prof. Leonid Sigal). Please check the Publications page for more information.
I really enjoy research and collaborating with others so feel free to reach out if you have any interesting ideas!
